Survivor Virtual Art Exhibit
The Creative Brain

The Creative Brain features artwork from over 40 artists from around the state of Arizona. Each artist in this exhibit has sustained an aquired brain injury, which means it was sustained after birth. Some were artists before, but most found the passion after their injury as they navigated their way through recovery and discovering new life priorities. The virtual gallery is open to view. Local Community Partners

The Governor’s Council teams up with local organizations and partners to help raise awareness and educate the public on brain injury, neuro-impaiment and spinal cord injury.

BRAIN INJURY ALLIANCE OF ARIZONA

Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona hosts virtual and in-person events every month to help support survivors, family members, and professionals! Those include events include social, educational and support groups. They also provide resource facilitation to survivors, family members, and professionals.

ARIZONA SPINAL CORD INJURY ASSOCIATION

Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association hosts in person and virtual events every month to consumers, family, and friends. Check out their website for more information and how to register. 

Vocational
Rehabilitation

Vocational Rehabilitation counselors work with individuals with disabilities to assist them in attaining employment and becoming or remaining economically self-sufficient.

Arizona Department of Health Services

The Department’s broad mission encompasses behavioral health, disease prevention and control, health promotion, community public health, environmental health, maternal and child health, and emergency preparedness.
